Business Objective: Assessing Risk
In order to cut maintenance costs The Economist's flagship app, executives were considering an out-of-the-box platform. The potential migration would free up resources for new products, while providing new features that come along with the proposed platform. The UX team raised the potential risk of losing subscribers due to usability issues and breaking reader habits. To mitigate this risk, I developed a new approach — Usability Test Driven Development — to determine potential user pain points issues with the platform. With it's success, I gave the following presentation to other teams in the company to use within their own Agile processes.
